Chiropractic, by definition, is Science, Art, and Philosophy of things natural. Furthermore, it is the detection and correction of a vertebral subluxation. A vertebral subluxation is a bone in the spine out of alignment, causing nervous system irrititation, and reducing the mental impulses (Life) from the brain into the body.

The correction of a subluxation is called an 'adjustment'. The only purpose for correcting a subluxation is to allow a maximum expression of Life within the body.

The human body is comprised of approximately 100 trillion cells. Each cell in your body has a specific function. All of the cells are inter-connected and coordinated by the Nervous System (brain, spinal cord, and nerves).

The primary job of the spine, or vertebral column, is to protect your nervous system. If anything happens to disrupt the integrity of the spine and nervous system, it disrupts the integrity of the body's communication system. The result: Lack of Normal Life Expression or a Lack of Ease (dis-ease).

By restoring the spine to its proper relationship, alignment, and integrity, Health is regained as normal Life expression returns. 

The vertebral subluxation is detected by specific Analysis and corrected by specific Adjustment.

Chiropractors vary greatly in technique systems for detecting and correcting subluxations.
